Eggs-cellent planning project

For our eggs-cellent planning project, our group followed most of the steps except for step 3. Our group understood what the end result had to be, time limit and reporting requirements. One person came up with a great idea and we all agreed to follow it. We identified everyone’s talents and everyone was given a task and we maximized our resources. Everyone participated in preparing our project and we met our deadline with time to spare. Our structure proved sound and we were successful. However, we skipped step 3 which was to consider alternatives. It was not wise to skip this step just in case we had trouble with our original structure.

Overall, I feel that our project was performed well and we successfully reached our goal. However, it was not wise to have only one plan of action.

I agree with you that step 3 of the planning process is very important. No matter how good the original plan is, it's always a good idea to have a couple of alternatives just in case you run across a road block you weren't expecting.

Luckily the one strategy your team came up with was good enough to get the job the done, and at the end of the day that's all that matter.

You are right about Step 3, the alternative is important in all situations, and especially when a little egg's life is on the line. It was great that your group seperated tasks so that no one person would monopolize the project. Your group wasn't alone in skipping step 3, most of us did and I guess that was the point of the time limit, taking chances. Well good job with saving the egg's life!
